Dancing for the Parkinson's charity

Couple of weeks ago I was invited to take some behind the scenes photos of a video filmed for the Parkinson's charity. The video is about how dance can be a fantastic form of a physiotherapy and can help patients with Parkinson's disease improve their movements.

The video was choreographed by the very talented Jenna Lee, and shot in Highgate Woods, in North London.

Here are some photos from that beautiful day.

Shooting with Lomography Purple Lomochrome film

I love shooting film.

Having said that, I am really a digital camera beast - this is how I got into photography few years ago, it's how I fell in love with it, and that's how I pay my bills.

Few months ago though, I rediscovered film after buying a second hand Nikon F3 camera. Now, I love and cherish every time I press its shutter, it feels so special and truly magical. It's been said so many times before and it's true: shooting film does make me slow down, makes me think and focus more on that photograph I am about to make. It's such an incredible feeling when you hear that "click". I also love the fact of how beautifully unpredictable the film can be; when I shoot digital, I try to fix the imperfections, when I shoot film - I embrace them.

And this brings me to the main protagonist of this post - little roll of Purple Lomochrome film. I bought it on a whim at the London Lomography store. I was just about to do a photo shoot with a friend, an amazing model and actor Lucy Scarfe. I thought it would be a cool idea to shoot a roll of that film and see what I'd get.

You can see some of the photos below - what do you think?

For your information, the background behind Lucy was originally green and she wore a red dress and red lipstick.

Boxing Day photo shoot in Shoreditch

It was my pre-ultimate shoot in 2014. I invited a beautiful model Estrany to Shoreditch, Bricklane for a little photo shoot. It was pretty warm although the sun was nowhere to be found in the sky.

As it was a Boxing Day, the place was rather empty so it was perfect for us to hang out with cups of coffee and have fun getting the shots. Here are some of the photos we made.

Test shoot with a new model Kristiana

I really love shooting on location in London, and especially in November the light is gorgeous on a sunny day and the colours around are breathtaking.

In those beautiful surroundings, I recently photographed a young, new model - Kristiana. This was a test shot for one of the modelling agencies in London. We didn't have much time but got some cool shots.

I am really looking forward to testing with more models, so if you want to work with me, get in touch!

Photography: actors' headshots

Hello all,

After a long time, I have decided to resurrect my blog. I shoot a lot all the time, and can't never really shut up about photography to the point that my friends are tired of me already :) This blog will allow me to channel all this somehow. Check out this space!

Recently, I have been lucky to photograph a few young, very talented actresses who I am sure will be famous soon. They buzzed with enthusiasm, energy and ideas. We set out to photograph headshots and we did. As I see it however, it is so much more than that; we tried to get some amazing quality photos to promote their talent, photos that truly stand out.  I do hope we achieved that goal.

I have added a new Actors gallery to my page where you can see some of the photos. More to come!

On that note, if you're an actor and would like to work with me, get in touch!
